In many of the Hill Tribe communities, the only emergency health workers are local volunteers. We are continuously working with this network to help upskill them and bridge any gaps in their knowledge in relation to common specific health issues. Your skills, knowledge and passion are vital to the sustainability of this program. This is your invitation to join us on our Thailand Paramedic Challenge!
As part of our long-term strategy to improve overall community health, we work on a number of projects that spread knowledge and build emergency response capacity within the community. By joining this program, you're not only contributing to a long-term development project, but you're embarking on a transformative learning experience as you develop your skills and knowledge within a unique environment.
Supported by our team on the ground, your activities could include:
Raising awareness and delivering first aid and safety workshops at schools and in the community to teach locals how to administer first aid and treat themselves in an emergency.
Working with local health professionals to upskill new first responders and build a robust network of first response volunteers across the hill tribe villages.
Supporting the local hospital and health clinics by conducting community health screenings and doing basic checks for patients visiting the hospital/clinic.
