Panama Community Challenge

On this challenge you will spend two weeks with a team of global changemakers, working on a variety of projects aimed at improving education quality in El Valle de Anton. They say you learn most when pushed outside of your comfort zone... this will be a transformative learning experience as you use your passion, skills and innovation to impact the lives of the local community!

who can join the team?

Our Panama Community Challenge is perfect for anyone who wants experience teaching or working with children, is interested in grass-roots community development or someone who just wants to use their skills to make a difference! 

what will you be doing?

Supported by our team on the ground, you will design and facilitate educational workshops at our local partner school. Your goal will be to supplement the national curriculum, while improving education quality. Topics could include conversational English, STEM education, sustainability, creative arts and sports! We encourage you to be creative and deliver fun workshops that will both engage children and inspire them in their education.

You might also get involved in a renovation project at one of our partner schools. We are continuously working to create a safer and more inspiring learning environment, so you could be painting an educational mural, renovating a playground, creating a library, installing a hand-washing station and more!

What is your weekly structure?

Your arrival weekend will be an opportunity settle in, accustom yourself to the local area and have a full program induction and orientation. Following this, Monday-Friday will be your project days, with evenings and weekends free to explore. We recommend heading to the coast for some relaxation on the pristine, white beaches!
