PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The impacts of the Khmer Rouge are still deeply felt throughout Cambodia, particularly in the healthcare sector, which continues to face numerous challenges.

With 50% of Cambodia's population under the age of 22, there is a shortage of professionals across various sectors, notably in healthcare. Nutritional deficiencies, mental health issues, and non-communicable diseases pose significant threats to the community. Our Health Promotion Challenge is, therefore, essential for enhancing the community's knowledge on crucial health topics and improving overall public health.

Making an Impact

CONTRIBUTE TO GLOBAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING!

This program offers a hands-on opportunity to collaborate with our team in Cambodia, contributing to our health education initiative. As you learn about current health issues affecting the local community, you will utilise your skills, knowledge, and passions to address these topics through health education workshops. You will primarily work at our local partner schools and can expect to cover topics such as:

Australian university students teach health education as part of a volunteer program in Cambodia

Food safety and nutrition!

Australian university students volunteer abroad in Cambodia

Disease transmission and prevention!

Australian university students volunteer on health promotion projects in Cambodia

Female health and hygiene!

These workshops will help impact children and their families in Battambang to live healthier and longer lives.
